Rhododendron 'NCRX5' (Perfecto Mundo® Double White) is the result of a controlled breeding program. It is a cross between Rhododendron 'Pleasant White' and R. 'Mootum' (Autumn Moonlight®). Seedlings from this cross were then treated with oryzalin to establish stable tetraploid azaleas, with Rhododendron 'NCRX5' (Perfecto Mundo® Double White) being selected. It was patented on January 25, 2022 and has patent number PP33,900.
